Start a membership in 48 hours … with just 1 article!

Hi everyone!

Ever since  I launched my Working Mom Workouts membership site I have received several inquires on how I did it. Well, I wish I could tell you I was the expert on creating membership sites but truth be told I had a mentor help me with it. So, today I thought I would share with you what some of the things I learned.

My mentor describes the “perfect” mix of information products like this…

E – ENTRY level products
S – SUBSCRIPTION level products
P – PREMIUM level products

He says this is infoproduct ESP … and lets you see profit in your future! Catchy, huh?

Most people talk about “entry level” products. These are $7 reports, $27 courses, etc. Low-cost stuff that’s intended to build trust with the customer and get them to spend more money with you. They are usually “graduated” to “premium level” products such as coaching programs, high-dollar physical products, workshops and other big-ticket items.

While these are both needed and good, it’s that middle one — “subscription level” products — which is the really integral center of your business.

Subscription level products are the ones that you get paid for over and over again. They are membership sites and other methods of residual income. You find a customer ONCE and they pay you month after month.

This is the key for a variety of reasons, but primarily it’s key for this one:

-> You can count on the payments.

There is some security in knowing that you’ll get paid every month from the recurring billing.

Having your own membership site is a MUST if you’re serious about doing business online. There’s only one problem … it’s not as easy as it sounds.

These membership sites are not easy because…

* They require a lot of time investment to start.

* There are pricey and complicated scripts to purchase.

* It is hard to keep members active and subscribed.

* You need a lot of ideas to keep it going.

I could go on and on.

But, the residual income is just too good to ignore.

That’s why I was so excited when Jimmy D. Brown announced a “new” type of membership site called “fixed term memberships” (FTM). These are sometimes known as “autoresponder” membership sites.

You can read all about them at: IM Institute

All you need is one article to get your membership site up and running!

Jimmy teaches you how to literally have one up and running in 48 hours or less.

There are only 1,000 memberships available and then it will close down. If you know Jimmy’s reputation, he doesn’t play marketing games. He’s shut down every time he promised he would. In fact, he retired over 100 of his products just like he said he would!

Visit the site today to read all about it. Even without joining you can learn enough to see if it’s for you. At the site Jimmy explains the concept, how it works and what you need to get started today.

A XXX Fitness Workout That Will Make Your Knees Weak

Sorry to disappoint but it is not the XXX you are thinking and no, I am not talking about pole dancing classes either! What I am talking about is over the weekend I had the privilege to attend a workshop and be trained as an instructor on the Trixter X bike.

Now, those of you that know me know how much I love to teach indoor cycle. Well, let me tell you, the X bike and the workouts that come along with the training are awesome. It has been a long time since I had such a great workout cycling indoors and I absolutely LOVED working out on the X bike. My quads were on fire and I was dripping with sweat after 30 minutes. If you are a little crazy like me you just love it when you get off totally spent.

Okay, so what I find so unique and different about the X bike is the fact the workout is much more engaging. The X bike is different from other bikes on the market in several ways. First, the X bike does not have a fixed fly wheel. It is set up like a normal bike and the gear shifter adds resistance. Let’s just say you can’t cheat on this bike and after 30 minutes your quads are on fire. Another great aspect that differentiates this bike from others is the fact the handle bars moved from left to right and allow you to engage your core and upper body. The finally aspect is the programming is really unique.

Now, not only is the workout more engaging but the programming is unique. There are three levels starting with the 30 minute X program and working up to the hour long XXX advanced program. I can tell you after experiencing all three programs that each one is unique, different and challenging, which gives beginners to advanced cyclists a great workout.

The final thing that I loved so much about the Trixter X bike is the VRX biking program. If you are a club owner or fitness program director you have got to check this out. The VRX biking is like a virtual ride outdoors. Not only is it a unique and something that differentiates your club and group exercise programming, but it serves another purpose as well. Instead of seeing your cycle room sit empty and only used when you have a class the VRX biking allows you to have the virtual trainer taking members through a routine whenever you want to have the video running. This helps maximum revenue and expense per square foot. Also, as you well know, more and more of the virtual fitness training is where the industry is moving and the VRX biking is a great way to integrate that into your club.

So in conclusion, all I can say is you have to at least try the X bike and see for yourself what I am talking about. If you are an owner or fitness manager and want to learn more about the Trixter bikes feel free to contact me or an independent dealer for more info.

To your success,

Dave McGarry’s Goals for 2011 Part II

Okay, the other day I talked about the process I use for setting my goals, so today to wrap things up I am going to be revealing my 2011 goals to you.

Here are my top ten goals for 2011 (in no particular order)

1.) Help 500 working and busy moms lose weight and create a healthy lifestyle through my Working Mom Workouts training program.

2.) Help 100 personal trainers get 100 clients into their business through my coaching program.

3.) Read 2 books a month (24 total) for the year.

4.) Train, fundraise, and complete the Dallas MS 150.

5.) Take several trips with my family.

6.) Create a Master Mind group of 10 like minded people that focuses on building passive income streams.

7.)  Strengthen and create 4 relationships with previous friends and new ones.

8.) Spend 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening preparing and reflecting on what I need to accomplish.

9.) Create a new service that is geared around creating and building blogs for Fitness Professionals

10.) Continue to grow in my spirituality and become more involved in my church.

These are my top ten goals for the year. As you might notice if I was to label each one  with the symbols that I described in the first part of the series, you will see I am pretty heavily skewed towards business goals.  I recognize that and if I was to included all 32 goals I set for myself you will see I have a better overall balance. Balance is what you should strive for but in some cases, depending on where you are in life, your goals might be dominate in one or two areas. That is okay, but make sure you realize the imbalance and strive to focus on all 8 areas that I initially described.

How to build your own paid membership site

Have you been thinking about building your own paid membership site? If not, you should, because it is one way to help build a tribe of followers, and it also allows you to create a passive revenue stream for your business. Now, there are two ways you can go about building a membership site. One ,is the traditional method where you create a website, continuously load it up with content, and get clients and other people to join. I know what you are thinking, “Way too much work and why would anyone want to join.” I agree, but I found a better approach to a membership site.

Several months ago I was introduced to a guy named Jimmy D. Brown and his concept of building a “fixed term membership site.” Essentially, what “fixed term” means is you decide how long the membership lasts. Jimmy states, that most people stay on average between 3-4 months as a member of a site. So, in order to make them feel more comfortable about joining, you give them a time frame. By having a time frame your clients will know that they will not be adding another monthly recurring bill to their credit card and when the term is over they are done. Also, a fixed term membership site helps you manage your time and effort. When you create a fixed term site ,you do not have to add a bunch of content all at once, but instead add content on a weekly basis. Once the initial work is done all you have to do is get subscribers to join and begin to see a passive income stream develop.

Okay, I know there are tons of  questions going on in your mind, so take a look at my membership site Working Mom Workouts and see how I am focusing on a niche, Working Moms, and  how I send workouts to them once they join.

Now that you had a chance to see my site it is time for you to considered what you can do. Here are some questions you need to ask yourself to get you started brainstorming for your fixed term membership site:

  • First, what are you passionate about?
  • What are you the best at (Expert)?
  • Is there a market for that?
  • Do I have 5-10 hours a week to devote to building a site?
  • Will I see the project through completion?

These are just a few questions to ask yourself to get you on the path towards your own fixed term membership site. Obviously, there is more that goes into starting up a site, but that is far too extensive to get into in one blog post. If you are interested in learning more about how to set up your own membership you can go through my coaching program where I can walk you through step by step and help have your membership site up in less than 48 hours form when we speak!
